It's here
The final line-up for this year’s Melt! Festival is ready, along with the running order. Can’t say I’m thoroughly pleased with the running order - but with so, so many incredible artists, I guess there’d be no chance in hell I could make it to all of the gigs anyway. Now I just gotta plan and prioritise. No sleep, all party. Hells yeah!
And finally, the grand Jarle Bernhoft.
Then, beautiful Ólafur Arnalds.
Some impressions from this year’s SPOT Festival.. first up, Mames Babegenush.
Casiokids. My favourite band of the week. Well, them and My Latest Novel. New album out on Monday (Deaths & Entrances) on Bella Union. It’s awesome.

The original is incredibly brilliant in itself, and I guess it’s introduced many (myself...
Prototype
Um yeah, so Friday I went to something completely different - this month’s round of Prototype. Featuring Slam52000 (UKR), Elemental (UK) and Boxcutter (UK). Heavy bass as usual. This time extra very delicious. Diverse, if nothing else. I particularly enjoyed Elemental’s set which was, although rather effed at moments, pretty damn great. And Boxcutter delivered. He even started out with...
Right, so I did make it to the Au Revoir Simone gig Thursday. And I’m glad I did! In spite of a lack of audience, the girls gave a really good show. Very airy, light, summery tunes.. I’d definitely go again, anyday.
