I ain't saying my goodbyes
It’s not much of a secret anymore. I’ve got a new job. In Odense. Which means I’ll be moving away from this safe mousehole and further away from my friends and network in Århus. It’s not that far away and I know I’ll still be coming back to Århus a lot but it’s still different. And it saddens me because I’ve come to know so many great and funny people...
Cover me
Like my colleague Kathrine, I have a weakness for cover songs. When they’re done properly and with the right intention. This recent week I’ve fallen a little bit in love with Get Well Soon’s version of Underworld’s “Born Slippy (Nuxx)”. And then many other cover songs rushed to my mind. Ready, get set, MARK! →
Finally summer’s here and I’m cheeky enough to think way into the darkness of autumn and winter. But I just wanted to remind everyone to mark their calendars for November 15th - the date for this year’s I Love Techno. Again in Gent, Belgium. Perhaps I’ll finally pull myself together and go. Took its toll on me but I figured that after a...
New records - new inspiration!
I love my friends. Today I received a fantabulous package of fresh, new records from the best label in the world, CO-OP. The records count: Jape, Semifinalists, Port O’Brien, Black Affair, The Dodos, The Ruby Suns, Fleet Foxes and of course, the lovely, lovely Get Well Soon. Looking forward to digging into the music like a kid on Christmas Day :D
Poprevo 08
In spite of still having a little fever in the body, I went to the second day of Poprevo last night. Which was quite great. I got to see The Brunettes, Efterklang, 18th Dye and Xiu Xiu. The Brunettes.. first word that comes to mind is happy-go-lucky. Catchy and dancable while it lasted, but nothing that stuck with me.. Efterklang were, oh, lovely. As always. I don’t know if it’s just...
