Repercussions!
Totally missed the release of this album last week. Shame on me. Just as I thought I’d found my final candidates for this year’s albums of the year, this guy steps in and delivers what must be THE album of the year! It is so well-mixed, it hurts. The bass is massive. And the roll of tracks is outstanding. Am deeply in love with the Chestplate releases. If you need me in the next few...
A little confession
I’m so far behind, it’s embarrassing. Been stuck in this folky-indie sorta hole the past few weeks. Until today. Where I listened to a Mary Anne Hobbs session from July (this year, at least) - Martyn vs TRG. Which is maaaad.
One of the opening tracks is this, Reject (techno rework) by Jaques Lauder. Pure rave. He’s won me over, for sure!
Fick

Gives me lovely Melbourne flashbacks
Another video.. I’m sorry. This is just so, so, so beautiful. This is why music is important. This is why I love working with music. I forget about everything that goes on around me when listening to Fleet Foxes.
The Last Shadow Puppets
Arh, say what you want. I like them.
Seriously looking forward to the Dodos gig on the 19th!! :D

The new testament
Just read this. Interesting news indeed. Although I haven’t listened to it for years, The Holy Bible remains my favourite album. Shall be interesting to see what they come up with. Best of luck to them.
Re-energised
Back from 3 weeks down under. Which was, uh, amazing. Now I’m finding it kinda difficult to get back into a routine with this online thing. Would like to write a long and elaborate blog entry about all of our doings, but my brain is still running on Melbourne time, so I guess I’ll have to put it off for time being. Anyhoo, in the meanwhile, I can tell a bit about some new music....
